Rattan
1. Exploiting raw materials
In Vietnam, rattan grew in Son La, Hoa Binh, Bac Kan, Thai Nguyen,… the central region has Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh,… We selected the sources of raw materials from the provinces from primary forests, individual forests and forest gardens,… Unlike hollow bamboo, rattan is dense, soft, flexible, and light. So it is an excellent material for making crafts and furniture. Through careful selection, we will obtain the raw materials to create quality cane webbing.
2. Processing materials
The cane webbing dry in the natural sunlight, and then the craftsmen will remove the eye and the bark of the rattan. This creates clouds according to different sizes. The webbing fiber removed from the hard shell and dirt, so it is very soft, supple, and easy to knit into products.
Because the process of rattan fiber is completely natural, without using preservatives, the products are very environmentally friendly and do not affect the health of users.
3. Knitting rattan cane webbing
Rattan yarns are hand-knitted according to different positions and shapes. And each rattan roll is 15 meters long.
To create a webbing curtain, it requires craftsmen to sit for hours, meticulously knitting without making mistakes. And we currently have 2 types of cane webbing blinds: square and hexagon, customers also can refer to choose. These blinds can be used to make curtains, carpets, or tables, and chairs, and so on.
4. Finishing the product
Depending on the type of rattan and the customer’s requirements, the webbing can be: torch, remove fluff; sanding; bleaching; water washing, drying; and sulfur drying. Therefore, cane webbing will have many different colors: white and yellowish,… This does not affect the quality of the product, but helps the product to be preserved longer.
